What families say after working with us
The most common thing we hear is a version of the same sentence: "I finally feel like we have got this under control." These are the accounts behind that feeling.

I had been putting this off for years — every time I thought about it, I did not know where to begin. The Meadow Orientation Session gave me a clear picture of what actually needs to be in order and who handles what. The glossary alone was worth the session fee. I felt like someone had finally explained things in plain Malay that I could understand, even though the session was in English.

My mother passed away last year and we struggled badly because her documents were everywhere. I did the Records Organisation Service for my own family so we would not be in the same situation. It took three sessions — the team was patient and did not rush us. My one wish is that there was a Bahasa Malaysia option for the materials, but the English was clear and easy to follow. Overall very glad I did it.

We enrolled my parents in the Family Legacy Journey programme. Both my parents are in their seventies and were a little uncertain at first, but Siti was incredibly patient and kind with them. By the end, my father said it was the most useful thing he had done in years. The binder is very well organised and the list of questions it prepared us with made our conversation with the lawyer so much more productive.

I came to Trustmeadow after a colleague at work mentioned it. My wife and I had our records all over the place — some in the safe, some on Google Drive, some who knows where. After the Records Organisation Service we have everything in one file, with a clear index. The team never once tried to sell us anything extra or push us towards any particular professional. Very refreshing.

The orientation session was eye-opening. I am 38 and had honestly never thought about any of this properly. Lina was warm and not at all preachy about it — she just walked us through how things generally work and what we should be thinking about. My husband is even more motivated than I am now to get everything sorted. We are booking the Records service next month.

I found Trustmeadow while searching for help after my father-in-law's passing made us realise how unprepared we were. We are based in KL but did the entire Family Legacy Journey online — no issues at all. The binder arrived by courier. I particularly appreciated how upfront they were about what they cannot help with, and how good their referral suggestions were for finding a solicitor in our area.

Three family journeys, in brief

Challenge
A family with no idea where to begin
A retired couple in their late sixties, both in good health, knew they needed to "sort things out" but had no framework for what that actually meant. They had a will drafted years earlier but were unsure if it was still valid, and their other records were scattered across several folders, boxes, and a shared email account.
What we did
Records Organisation Service over three sessions
We worked with the couple across three sessions over four weeks. The first session was focused on gathering and reviewing what they had. The second and third sessions were spent sorting, labelling, and building the summary index. We pointed them to their solicitor for the question of whether the will needed updating — not something we could answer ourselves.
Outcome
A completed file and a productive meeting with their solicitor
Four weeks after completing the service, the couple confirmed that they had met with their solicitor with their organised file in hand, updated their will, and — in their words — "finally feel like grown-ups about this." Their adult children also received a copy of the summary index.
"We came in completely lost and left with a clear file and a list of exactly who to speak to."
Challenge
A 40-something professional with no documents in place
A self-employed professional in his early forties with two school-age children. He had no will, no idea what documents he should have, and found the topic uncomfortable enough to keep avoiding. His wife had similar concerns but also felt overwhelmed about where to start the conversation.
What we did
Family Legacy Journey Programme for both spouses
Both husband and wife attended the educational sessions together. The orientation session helped them understand what a will does (in general terms), what other documents are typically relevant, and which professionals handle which aspects. The records sessions that followed gave them a structured way to gather and organise what they had, and to identify what was missing.
Outcome
A completed binder and, weeks later, a signed will
The couple completed the programme over eight weeks. They described the "prepared questions" list as the thing that made the biggest difference — they went to their solicitor feeling ready rather than out of their depth. Six weeks after completing the programme, they confirmed their wills and Lasting Power of Attorney documents were in place.
"The questions list alone made our solicitor appointment run so much more smoothly."
Challenge
Adult children unsure how to help their ageing parent
Three adult siblings whose mother, a widower in her late seventies, had become more forgetful. They wanted to help her get her records in order but were worried about approaching it the wrong way — they did not want to seem like they were "rushing" anything, and were themselves uncertain about what records actually needed to be gathered.
What we did
Meadow Orientation Session for the family, then Records service for the mother
We began with an orientation session attended by all three siblings, which helped them understand the landscape and — equally importantly — helped them approach the topic with their mother in a more informed and confident way. The mother then completed the Records Organisation Service over two sessions, with one sibling present throughout.
Outcome
A clear file, more confident family conversations
The mother now has a complete, labelled personal file. The siblings described feeling much more confident talking about related topics as a family — something the orientation session in particular seemed to enable. One sibling noted: "We stopped avoiding the subject and started actually having the conversation."
